Review Of Pho Lemon Vietnamese Restaurant In Beijing

I had a nice meal tonight at Pho Lemon Vietnamese Restaurant (法拉满越南牛肉粉) in Beijing, in China Central Place (华贸公寓). Had the house crispy spring rolls (pictured) and beef and basil rice paper rolls to start, then the signature beef noodle soup (Pho Bo). The restaurant's food is tasty, and has a comfortable atmosphere with soft light, comfortable private space and nice music. The food and two glasses of wine cost about 200RMB total, very reasonable price.

Great Wall Trip On Saturday

On Saturday I went Mountain Bar for a nice lunch, followed by a trip to the Great Wall. Not the first time I've been there, but every time I see it, I'm blown away. Pictured here from left to right are colleagues Madhu Chaubey and Vincent Zhang, and with PTC PR/marketing are Penny Zhou, Nicole Rowe, Scott Braznia and me.

Wall Street Journal Appoints New China Editor

Last night in Beijing I went to a reception at The Opposite House to welcome the new Wall Street Journal Beijing bureau chief Andrew Browne. At the event Jason Dean said some very nice words about the outgoing chief Rebecca Blumenstein, that her time in Beijing was one of great leadership and motivation for the reporting team, who won, amongst other accolades, a Pulitzer prize in 2007. It's clear that Wall Street Journal Beijing has a strong team in place, and continues to be one of the most influential media sources for the business community in China and worldwide.
